Karate A Huge Success At Tokyo Olympics
It can be said with upmost confidence that Karate at Tokyo Olympics has been a huge success. Heaps of fighters from all around the world competed in both kumite and kata. They fought it out in all divisions and it was an absolute delight to watch. I am sure that fans of the sport the world over considered it a treat. There were both men’s and women’s events which made it even more enthralling to watch.

Whilst there were many notable fights one of the best was between Ivan Kvesic from Croatia and Brian Irr from the USA. It was a hard fought match which say two great fighters pitted against each other. They went toe to toe but only one could win. In the end it was Kvesic edged out Irr with some brilliant move winning 3 points to 1. Sadly neither of them made it to the finals but it wasn’t through lack of trying. Better luck next time boys!
The only sad thing is that there will be karate at the Olympics which will be taking place in Paris. It was just a one off in honour of the host country Japan. That said it was definitely worth watching so stay tuned for the Karate World Championships. They will be more chances to get ready for their next competition on their karate mats.
